<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"> There are a few facts that rarely make it into the news about breast cancer but which are important enough to potentially make the difference between life and death. Here is the rest of the story of breast cancer awareness.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"> A couple years ago, newspapers carried a front-page headline that breast cancer rates had gone down for the first time in recorded history. According to the article experts credited this decrease to the fact that many thousands of women are now refusing estrogen replacement therapy for menopausal symptoms. It has been known for many years now that ERT / HRT drastically increase the risk of cancers of the breast and reproductive organs, but doctors continue to prescribe them anyway. But now enough women are refusing this dangerous treatment, that we have actually seen a noticeable drop in breast cancer rates. To prevent breast cancer refuse ERT / HRT and use nutritional and herbal therapies instead. They work better anyway.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"> Wearing bras that are too tight cuts off the flow of lymphatic fluid through the breast area and drastically elevates breast cancer risk. Take a look at the following statistics from a Harvard study:</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>Bras and Breast Cancer<br />

<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em> Although I am an environmental chemist (Ph.D. in biochemistry), I have been doing a lot of literature research on breast cancer since I saw an article on the National Library of Medicine database over a year ago. That article documented an increase in breast cancer rates between women who do wear bras versus those that do not.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>That Harvard study fascinated me and I searched the medical literature for possible explanations. In January 1996, I discovered the book by Singer and Grismaijer and their explanation of impaired lymphatic flow intrigued me. I have since read everything that I can find on lymphatic flow. What I have found has amazed me, but that is another story. I can supply you with lots of info if you like. In essence, what Singer and Grismaijer found was that the odds of getting breast cancer dramatically increased with bra-wearing over 12 hours per day.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>* Women who wore their bras 24 hours per day had a 3 out of 4 chance of developing breast cancer (in their study, n=2056 for the cancer group and n=2674 for the standard group).</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>* Women who wore bras more than 12 hour per day but not to bed had a 1 out of 7 risk.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>* Women who wore their bras less than 12 hours per day had a 1 out of 152 risk.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>* Women who wore bras rarely or never had a 1 out of 168 chance of getting breast cancer. The overall difference between 24 hour wearing and not at all was a 125-fold difference.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>If you haven&#8217;t already done so, I suggest that you read the book by Singer and Grismaijer (Dressed to Kill,Avery Press, 1995). </em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>A physical therapist friend of mine, after reading    Dressed to Kill, said that she was amazed at what she saw in her practice at a local medical clinic. She noticed how many women have red creases and grooves on their bodies caused by their bras. Singer and Grismajer also suggest that you simply stop wearing one for two weeks and see how you feel.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>By the way, I have heard that they are currently working on a new study. The research is to study whether  benign fibrocystic breast disease can be treated by stopping bra-wearing for eight weeks.  That should be very interesting; this time they are involving medical doctors, from what I&#8217;ve heard.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>Years ago, many people thought that the idea of cigarettes causing lung cancer was funny. Even if further research with highly controlled studies only shows a difference of 5-fold, or even 2-fold, it will be no laughing matter.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;">Recent research is finding that one of the best ways to prevent all types of cancer is to get an adequate amount of vitamin D. The most effective form of vitamin D comes from daily exposure to sunlight (directly on the skin without any form of sunscreen or sun block, which prevents production of vitamin D). Science is now discovering what natural healers have been saying all along, that the sun does not, and in fact, cannot cause skin cancer or any other cancer. It is now being found that it is chemically impossible for it to do so. Of course it is important to avoid sunburn, so I recommend that everyone worked up gradually in exposure time by starting with two minutes of sun exposure on each side of the body increasing by two minutes everyday to give the body a chance to adapt without burning. You can work up to as much time as you like as long as you do so by increasing only two minutes per side per day and no more. If you have extra sensitive skin you might want to increase only 30 seconds per day. I suggest that everyone work up to a minimum of 15 minutes per side per day.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;">Several years ago, the American Cancer Society stopped recommending mammograms for all women because it was found that getting a mammogram significantly increases a woman&#8217;s chance of getting breast cancer, the same disease it&#8217;s supposed to help detect. This didn&#8217;t last long however, because hundreds of angry radiologists wrote scathing letters to the ACS criticizing their decision because women weren&#8217;t coming in for their routine mammograms anymore and the radiologists were losing millions of dollars a year. There has also been found </span><span style="font-size: x-small;"><strong>no</strong></span><span style="font-size: x-small;"> link between getting mammograms and an increased survival rate for breast cancer patients.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;">The General Accounting Office, a branch of the US federal government that advises Congress on where they should spend our tax dollars, among other things, recently recommended that Medicare and other government health care programs stop paying for chemotherapy for breast cancer because it was found to have absolutely no affect whatsoever on improving breast cancer patient survival rates. In other words women getting chemo for their breast cancer were exactly as likely to die as were women getting no treatment at all. Many senators receive large campaign contributions and other incentives from the pharmaceutical drug companies that make the chemotherapy drugs, so the G. A. O. got their hands slapped and were ordered not to publish their findings. Outraged, they published them anyway, and you can get their complete report by writing to:</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: x-small;"> Ask for their free report on &#8220;breast cancer patient survival&#8221; to learn the truth about chemotherapy for breast cancer!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;">A vitamin was discovered by researchers at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center that destroys all types of cancer cells on contact with zero damage to healthy cells. It was believed to be the absolute cure for all cancers and was found to be &#8220;less toxic than pure water.&#8221; Further studies were rigged to show that it was ineffective, the initial studies showing it worked were quietly hushed up, the lead researcher was fired, and this cure never made it into the mainstream &#8212; no doubt to avoid interfering with the multi-billion dollar profits of the cancer industry, particularly the manufacturers of chemotherapy drugs. The good news is that you can benefit from this vitamin, the 17th of the B-complex vitamins, right now since, fortunately, it is available in many common foods. These include: millet, buckwheat, macadamia nuts, tapioca, bamboo shoots, mung beans, lima beans, butter beans, fava beans, and various fruit seeds, with the highest quantities being found in apricot seeds.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-small;">Regularly eating cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts has been linked in countless studies to a reduced risk of many different cancers while eating red meat has been linked in countless studies with a substantially increased risk of many different cancers.</span></p>

<li><strong>Solar Healing</strong> &#8211; Get at 	least 5 to 10 minutes of direct sunshine on as much of your skin as 	possible every day (without sunscreen or anything else coming 	between your skin and the sun). On areas that don&#8217;t usually get sun, 	you may need to start with only one minute of sun exposure the first 	day and increase by one minute each day to avoid burning.This produces vitamin D, without which 	you can&#8217;t absorb calcium. It also reduces cholesterol levels, clears 	acne, stimulates the immune system, relaxes muscles, eases MS 	symptoms, alkalizes the bloodstream (neutralizing harmful acids), 	has been used to prevent and reverse depression, cancer, and other 	diseases, and has even been found to be active against H1N1 and 	other types of infections as well.I have personally seen my clients 	drastically reduce their need for herbs and supplements and improve 	their condition virtually overnight just by adding short 10 to 20 	minute sun baths as often as they could take them (no more than once 	a day of course).
<p>I must be feeling a little telepathic 	today, because I know exactly what you&#8217;re thinking – &#8220;What 	about skin cancer?&#8221; We&#8217;ve been told for decades now that the 	sun causes skin cancer. Fortunately, recent research is revealing 	this to be a complete fallacy! I say fortunately because we cannot 	live without the sun, and now we can feel perfectly free to get all 	the sun we need. Of course, it goes without saying that you should 	take steps to avoid sunburns. They are an injury like any other and 	tax your body&#8217;s resources &#8211; not to mention they hurt!</p>
<p>The best way to do this is to start 	out with a very short exposure time and work up gradually, by one 	minute or less per day, to gradually accustom your skin to the sun.</p>
<p>&#8220;What about accelerated aging?&#8221; 	you say. I&#8217;m sure some villagers (most of whom manufacture 	sunscreens) are going to come after me with torches and pitchforks 	for saying this, but here goes anyway, &#8220;It is not the Sun that 	causes accelerated aging and skin cancer; it&#8217;s bad diet, emotional 	stress, and exposure to toxic chemicals (like those commonly found 	in most chemical-based sunscreens).&#8221; A controversial medical 	researcher named Bob Barefoot has discovered that people who use 	sunscreens on a regular basis have 67% more skin cancer than those 	who sunbathe without them. His theory is that the synthetic 	chemicals in sunscreen react with UV light from the sun to produce 	free radicals that cause genetic damage. If you must use something 	on special occasions (when you&#8217;ll be spending an extra large amount 	of time outdoors or at higher altitudes than you are accustomed to), 	I suggest a <strong>mineral-based</strong> sunblock which you can probably 	find at your local health food store.</p>
<p>Controled moderate exposure to the sun 	has been used for centuries to cure disease, including cancer. 	Here&#8217;s another interesting little tidbit &#8211; cancer needs an acidic 	environment to survive; it cannot survive in an alkaline 	environment, period. Exposure to sunlight causes your skin to 	produce vitamin D which in turn causes your body to absorb more 	calcium  &#8211; calcium neutralizes acids and alkalizes your bloodstream. 	Checkmate.</li>
<li><strong>Cold Water</strong> &#8212; Every time 	you take a hot bath or shower, end it with a 1 to 2 minute cold 	shower. (Feel free to start with cool and work your way up to cold.) 	This strengthens immunity, stimulates the nervous system, improve 	circulation, helps heal depression, burns fat, and the list goes on.</li>
<li><strong>Mushrooms</strong> – all edible 	fungi strengthen the immune system. There are several different ways 	they do this – mostly because they contain mucopolysaccharides 	like those in echinacea that fool the body into thinking it&#8217;s being 	poisoned – the body then releases large quantities of immune 	cells, called macrophages, to take care of the &#8220;poison.&#8221; 	When the macrophages enter the bloodstream they realize that there 	is no poison after all but &#8220;Oh, look! There&#8217;s a cancer cell &#8211; 	there&#8217;s a virus – there&#8217;s some tar from the cigarette you just 	smoked, I might as well just mop it up while I&#8217;m here.&#8221;The most powerful immune stimulating 	mushrooms include shiitake, Maitake, reishi, oyster, and several 	others. Adding some of these to your diet daily will do more to keep 	you healthy than all the flu shots in the world which, according to 	one survey, don&#8217;t work for 99% of those who use them!</li>
<li><strong>Echinacea</strong> – This herb is 	so powerful when used correctly that it has even been used 	successfully by many individuals to neutralize snake and bee venom 	and dissolve cancer – so just imagine what it can do to a cold! 	The problem is that most people don&#8217;t know how to use it correctly – 	they use a weak extract and don&#8217;t take enough of it.Here&#8217;s how to use it for life changing 	results:<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Quality</span> – A good quality 	echinacea tincture will cause a tingling sensation on your tongue 	and in the back of your throat. If it doesn&#8217;t, it probably isn&#8217;t 	strong enough to do you much good. I suggest either buying yours 	from American Botanical Pharmacy or the Herb Shop or a local 	herbalist or make them yourself (much easier than you might think).
<p>- Get Echinacea roots or seeds from 	Pacific Botanicals or anywhere else that has the highest quality 	organic or ethically wild-crafted herbs.</p>
<p>- Put several cups of the herbs 	into a blender and pour in enough 80 proof vodka to just cover over 	the top of the herbs.</p>
<p>- Blend until you have the 	consistency of applesauce, adding more vodka if needed.</p>
<p>- Pour into a clean glass jar with 	a tight fitting lid (mason canning jars are great for this) and let 	it sit in a cool dark place (like a kitchen cupboard) for two weeks, 	shaking every day.</p>
<p>- After two weeks, strain through 	a clean natural fiber cloth like cotton muslin or cheesecloth. The 	now dry mush can go into your compost pile or be  crumbled and 	sprinkled on your lawn or garden (FYI: if you ever make Black Walnut 	tincture, you won&#8217;t want to put its remnants on your lawn, but you 	can certainly compost it). The liquid gets put into bottles. This is 	your finished tincture!</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Nutrition</span> – Echinacea signals 	your body to produce more immune cells, but it isn&#8217;t what your body 	builds those immune cells out of. For that you need plenty of good 	complete nutrition. The best way I know to get that is with green 	&#8220;superfoods&#8221; or &#8220;green drink powders.&#8221;</p>

<ol><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Quantity</span> – You&#8217;ve heard that 	&#8220;more is not always better.&#8221; That&#8217;s true, but Echinacea, 	for the most part, is an exception to that rule. The reason most 	people don&#8217;t get maximum results from taking Echinacea is A) They 	use a cheap product that&#8217;s really garbage; and B) They use weak puny 	doses.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Echinacea is non-toxic and very safe – 	even at high doses. When I feel the start of a cold coming on, I 	usually take one whole ounce of Echinacea tincture in a shot glass 	and knock it back. I follow that with 2 to 3 dropperfulls (there are 	roughly 30 drops in one dropperful) every couple hours for a couple 	of days which usually kills the cold completely. If it&#8217;s an extra 	stubborn one, I&#8217;ll add some fresh raw garlic, black elderberry 	extract (See next), juice fasting, sweat baths/saunas, and the other 	things in this article. I&#8217;ve yet to see an infectious organism that 	could survive that onslaught, whether bacteria, virus, fungus, 	parasite, yeast, or anything else! Also, it does not harm your 	body&#8217;s &#8220;friendly flora.&#8221;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Timing</span> – After you take 	echinacea for 2 to 3 weeks continuously, its effectiveness starts to 	decrease. It doesn&#8217;t become ineffective, but it does become less 	effective, because your body catches on to the fact that the 	mucopolysaccharides are not toxic and stops releasing immune cells 	to combat these harmless substances. This is easily corrected by 	taking a week off from taking echinacea and then starting again. 	During this week you can use another immune stimulating herb like 	Mushrooms (item #3 above), Astragalus, Ginseng, raw Garlic, or 	Calendula. If you&#8217;re only taking it for a few days at a time, this 	of course, will not be an issue.</p>
<p>Also under the heading of timing is 	that it is very important to catch infectious illnesses early! If 	you&#8217;ve had an infection for a while, you can still get rid of it 	with these herbs, but it will take much longer than if you had 	started taking them at the first sign of trouble.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Species</span> – This is easy to get 	right because the types of echinacea recommended by herbalists are 	the types usually used in products. If you&#8217;re making your own, look 	for Echinacea purpurea or Echinacea angustifolia.</ol>
<ol>
<li><strong>Elderberry Extract </strong>–  	This is one of the first super-powerful herbal anti-virals I used. I 	used this one myself in high school to go from more than 30 days 	absent in my freshman and sophomore years (all due to frequent 	illness) to perfect attendance in both my junior and senior years. 	This stuff works!The way it works is by &#8220;inactivating&#8221; 	viruses – that is, surrounding them with a chemical shield that 	keeps them from being able to penetrate into your cells – when 	they can&#8217;t do that, they can&#8217;t reproduce (or do anything else for 	that matter) and all that&#8217;s left for them is to wait until your 	immune system comes along and destroys them. It&#8217;s like the virus and 	your immune system are in a NASCAR race and you&#8217;re just popping the 	virus&#8217; tires to give your immune system a chance to catch up!The brand I use is called &#8220;Sambucol.&#8221; 	I take a tablespoon every couple hours when I feel a cold comming on 	and after a day of that, no more cold.</li>
<li><strong>Emotional Healing</strong> – Being 	down in the dumps emotionally can damage your immune system enough 	to make the difference between catching a cold and not catching it! 	There are many methods of emotional healing that I recommend. One of 	the most powerful is the one I call T.T. (&#8220;Trashing Therapy&#8221;). 	Go through your entire house and find items that make you feel down, 	negative, depressed, angry, sad, frustrated, or any other emotion 	that seems to drain the life out of you (whether slowly or quickly), 	gather it all together and get rid of it! Donate it; sell it; 	recycle it; trash it; shred it; burn it (safely); whatever seems 	most appropriate for each item &#8211; the important thing is that you get 	it off the property the same day!If the reason for your distress is 	that the item simply needs cleaning or repair, then clean or repair 	it – right now! It&#8217;s not worth the emotional energy draining that 	you&#8217;ll feel to put it off till tomorrow, and you&#8217;ll get an 	incredible boost from actually doing it and getting it out of the 	way.Some people find this easy, others 	extremely difficult, and the more times you experience it, the more 	you&#8217;ll want to free yourself of every last object that brings up any 	degree of emotional pain.
<p>I also want to mention that the degree 	of difficulty you have in doing this is directly related to how much 	it will benefit you. The harder it is to get yourself to do this, 	the more benefits you&#8217;ll see!</p>
<p>After doing this, you may want to 	journal a bit or talk to a friend about the experience, then go 	through your office and do the exercise again&#8230; then again with 	your car.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve cleared out an object with 	a negative association, replace it (if appropriate) with something 	that lifts your spirits or makes you think of something pleasant.</p>

How much revenue does your company lose every year because of fake sick days?</p>
<p>Instead of threatening your employees with suspension, termination or other unpleasant things if they fake a sick day (remember that throughout history, the people, ideas, movements, organizations, religions, etc. that were persecuted the most always spread the fastest), just take away their desire to fake sick days. If they don&#8217;t want to fake sick days, they won&#8217;t.<br />
What happens when you tell someone, “Don&#8217;t look down!” I think we all know the answer to that one. They are suddenly and inexplicably taken over by an irresistible urge to look down. It&#8217;s almost like a post hypnotic suggestion.</p>
<p>Before we continue, I&#8217;m going to ask a question and it is vitally important that you answer it honestly before you read any further. I&#8217;m serious. If you want to come away from reading this article with something genuinely useful and not feel like you&#8217;ve wasted the next few minutes, do yourself a huge favor and answer this question, seriously and honestly, right now. Ready? OK, here we go – What do you want more from your employees – more time spent on the job, or more productivity and thus more money for the company? I know the answer seems obvious, but really think about it for a moment, because in a minute I&#8217;m going to ask you to back it up with some action.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Albert Einstein said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” Zig Ziglar, one of the best known and highest paid motivational speakers in the industry, puts it this way, “If you keep on doin&#8217; what you&#8217;ve been doin&#8217;, you&#8217;re gonna keep on gettin&#8217; what you&#8217;ve been gettin&#8217;.”<br />
Now let&#8217;s apply this rule to business – if you want a result that&#8217;s very different than the one you&#8217;ve been getting, you&#8217;re going to have to do something very different than what you&#8217;ve been doing. Those companies who keep trying to force new results using an old model will just increase their own frustration, while you embrace a new approach and start getting the results you want. Imagine them looking at you with envy, unable to understand how you&#8217;re getting these amazing results because they&#8217;re still stuck in an old paradigm.<br />
Keep in mind that not every suggestion in this article will be applicable to every kind of job, but I do think that pretty close to 100% of people reading this will walk away with at least 2-3 things they can use to improve their work-life starting immediately. You might also want to improvise a bit and find a way to apply these strategies to a different business model.</p>
<p>Now that we&#8217;re on the same page, let&#8217;s look at some ways you can get different results&#8230;</p>
<ol>
<li>Emphasize results rather than time 	spent on a job. Redesign the structure of the work day to reward 	those employees who get the most done, not those who stay at work 	the longest. Instead of paying employees to be on the property for a 	certain amount of hours each day, assign them certain (reasonable) 	tasks for that day. Tell them if they don&#8217;t finish those tasks 	within the 8 hours (or however many hours) that they would normally 	be there, they can just finish the next day, but if they complete 	their daily tasks before the end of the “work day” they will be 	allowed to go home (or wherever they want to go) early. The same 	policy should apply even if they finish their day&#8217;s work within the 	first hour and end up going home at 10 am! This motivates employees 	to get things done fast, ultimately making the company more money 	and costing the company less in overhead (several hours of not 	having the lights and computer on in their office / cubicle, etc.)Reward employees who find new 	ways of getting work done fast without sacrificing quality. Instead 	of paying “overtime” for those who want to take up space on the 	property for more hours each day, offer equivalent daily or weekly 	“bonuses” for those who innovate and get their work done in less 	time, or get more work done in the same amount of time.
<p>Tim Ferriss, author of the hugely successful book “The Four 	Hour Work Week,” tells of his first job at an ice cream 	parlor. He figured out a way to complete his assigned task in 1 hour 	instead of 8 and spent the rest of the day reading and practicing 	kung-fu kicks outside the store. Instead of realizing that this was 	his most valuable and productive employee who could be used to great 	advantage to help his business succeed, his boss shot himself in the 	foot by firing Tim and saying, “Maybe some day you&#8217;ll understand 	the value of hard work.” Don&#8217;t be that guy!</li>
<li>Be open to remote work agreements 	with your employees. I know this sounds radical, but if you can get 	more of what you want (productivity and profit), and less of what 	you don&#8217;t want (wasted time and extra expenses), by giving your 	employees more of what they want ( freedom and free time). What&#8217;s 	stopping you? Most people can accomplish more at home than they can 	at the office anyway. They can also be working during the time that 	they would normally be commuting, and with less commuting, you can 	tell everybody how “green” your company is becoming by reducing 	traffic and pollution.Tell all your employees who&#8217;s jobs 	could potentially be done from home (phone calls, meeting with 	clients and prospects, online work, writing, etc) that every 	Wednesday (or whichever day you choose) will be a “work from home 	day” for the next 2 months. Those employees who can show increased 	(or at least maintain the same) productivity from home (or wherever 	they choose to spend the day) will be given the option of having two 	work-from-home days each week, and those who do well with that will 	have the option of experimenting with three per week and so on. 	Those whose productivity falls at home can always be put back on 	“work-in-the-office-from-9-to-5” schedules.
<p>What happens 	if you get to the point of having half your employees work from home 	5 days a week? You can stop renting the office space they used to 	use and save a tone of money on overhead! Or you could do something 	else in that space. The possibilities are endless.</li>
<li>Many employees fake sick days 	during the summer because they want to enjoy the nice weather with 	their friends and families. Now pay very close attention here, 	because your employees are giving you something very valuable for 	free – a way to motivate them! Now you know what they want – 	more days off to enjoy their summer – and you can give it to them 	as a reward for doing their job well.How does this 	sound to you: “All employees who complete (X amount) of work by 	April (landing 4 new clients, successfully finishing 2 major 	projects, having no customer complaints against them for 6 months, 	etc., etc.) will be given 1 extra week of vacation time during the 	summer for that year. What happens if they all do it? Then your 	company has made more money than it otherwise would have during the 	same amount of time and you don&#8217;t have to pay to light their offices 	for that week. Win / Win!
<p>Remember, having employees 	take more time off may cost a company under the old model, but when 	you give it to them as a reward for achieving greater results, 	you&#8217;re not only solving the problem of “lost time,” you can 	actually get more done in less time and end up ahead of where you 	would have been if they had all been working during that week under 	the old model! Again, it&#8217;s all about getting the job done, not 	spending more time on the job.</li>
<li>Give employees who don&#8217;t use their 	sick days either a bonus on their paycheck (or some other valuable 	thing) or the option to use those sick days as “personal days.” 	Wouldn&#8217;t you rather have them call in and say, “I&#8217;m perfectly 	healthy, but I&#8217;m feeling overwhelmed and really need a break so if 	it wouldn&#8217;t put too big a burden on my co-workers today, I&#8217;m going 	to use one of my sick days as a personal day.” Isn&#8217;t that better 	than training them to lie to you and making them resent you on top 	of it? Besides, employees who feel overwhelmed have low morale and 	less productivity anyway, so what does the company gain by making 	them work when they feel so crappy that their work would be sub-par 	and have to be redone by someone else?If their job involves 	interacting directly with customers, which do you think would be 	more likely to bring those customers back for a return visit – a 	frowning crabby exhausted employee with a chip on their shoulder, or 	a cheerful employee who feels grateful to her boss for letting her 	take a day to rest up? When they come in the next day smiling and 	feeling grateful and ready to do their best work, you&#8217;ll know you 	made the right choice! If you feel it necessary, you could also 	require that they give 24 – 48 hours notice before doing this so 	you can find someone to take their shift.</li>
<li>Use your own creativity (or pay an 	especially creative employee or outsourcer) to come up with more 	ways that you can give your employees more of what they want in 	exchange for giving the company more of what it wants.</li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>For Employees:</strong></span></span></p>
<p>If you&#8217;re an employee, give a copy of this article to your employer and say something like, “I think I&#8217;ve found a way to save the company some money. Would you be interested?”<br />
Here are some tips to help you improve your productivity and hopefully convince your employer that a remote work agreement for you is also in his best interest (this works best, of course, if your productivity is just a little better at home than at the office):</p>
<ol>
<li>Make calls just before the start 	of the work day and just after the end of the work day of whoever 	you&#8217;re calling, when the decision-makers are likely to be there, but 	the gatekeepers (secretaries, assistants, etc.) either haven&#8217;t 	arrived yet or have just gone home.</li>
<li>Use the 80/20 principle (also 	called the <em>Pareto Principle</em> or <em>Pareto&#8217;s Law</em>) to 	eliminate the busy work and focus on what is really important. 	According to this principle, 20% of what you do during the day 	produces 80% of your results and 80% of what you do is just keeping 	you busy and yielding minimal accomplishments. Eliminate the 80% 	that isn&#8217;t giving you a good return on your time-investment and add 	a little more of the 20% that&#8217;s really getting things done.Most of us (try to catch yourself doing this, I think you&#8217;ll 	be shocked) spend most of our time doing “filler” tasks like 	checking emails, searching for things online, calling people we know 	won&#8217;t be there, running errands someone else could be taking care 	of, re-checking projects that are already done, etc. in order to 	avoid doing the (sometimes scary) things we really need to do, like 	giving the boss that piece of bad news, calling that difficult 	client, confronting the co-worker who&#8217;s holding up the whole team, 	etc. But once you&#8217;ve done that scary task (which you have to do 	anyway, so why put it off and spend 10 or 20 times longer suffering 	from it), you can get on with your job and get more of the things 	done that you really need to get done. Doing the scary stuff will 	also (in most circles anyway) earn you more respect as the person 	with all the “guts” who “tackles” the hard stuff and gets 	more done; and even if no one sees you doing the scary stuff, you 	know you did it and that will boost your own respect for yourself – 	which in turn improves your work quality.
<p>Once 	you&#8217;ve eliminated all (or at least most) of the fluff, make sure you 	replace it with truly effective meaningful activities that bring 	results. Soon you&#8217;ll be the most effective and productive employee 	in your company and if your boss is smart, he&#8217;ll give you a raise 	and a promotion (maybe even have you train your co-workers in 	effective time management; and if your boss isn&#8217;t smart, you&#8217;ve 	still increased your value as an employee so much that other 	companies (who would give you the appreciation you deserve) might 	now be interested in hiring you.</li>
<li>Check voice-mail and email only 	twice per day. I suggest late morning (so people have a chance to 	send you the important stuff for that day) and 2 hours before 	quitting time (so you have a chance to finish last minute tasks 	before going home. There&#8217;s no sense in checking messages right 	before you leave (unless your job involves responding to 	emergencies), when you&#8217;ll have to spend the evening worried about 	something that you can&#8217;t deal with until tomorrow anyway. This goes 	double for Friday evenings, why waste your whole weekend worried 	about something you can&#8217;t take care of until Monday?!</li>
<li>“Parkinson&#8217;s Law” states that 	work expands to fill the time allotted. Not only does it expand in 	length, but also in perceived importance and complexity. William of 	Occam (the originator of “Occam&#8217;s Razor”) said “It is Vain to 	do with more what can be done with less.” This means you can get 	things done faster (and ofter better) by giving yourself a short 	deadline (make it short enough that you&#8217;ll have to focus on doing 	the really important parts of the task immediately and ignore the 	unimportant and less important stuff for now).When was the last time you 	found yourself working on a project that you were given 3 weeks to 	finish? I&#8217;ll bet it took you every minute of that three weeks, right 	down to the wire. What would have happened if there had been an 	emergency (for whatever reason) and you had to finish it (or at 	least do the best you could on it, considering the time constraints) 	in 12 hours? Could you do a decent job on it and at least make it 	workable in 12 hours? A lot of people have been delightfully 	surprised to find that work done “under the gun” like this often 	turns out better because they are forced to hyper-focus and only do 	the really important parts.
<p>In high school, this was 	almost a habit for me. I&#8217;d have a project that I&#8217;d been given a 	month to complete and all through the month I&#8217;d tell myself, “I 	don&#8217;t have to work on it tonight, I&#8217;ve got a whole 3 weeks left and 	I know it won&#8217;t take that long.” Invariably, I&#8217;d end up the night 	before spending 8-10 hours on the sucker just trying to put together 	something that would get a passing grade. Guess what? I&#8217;d almost 	always get an “A” on these projects. What happened when I did 	little bits on it here and there throughout the month – usually a 	“B” or “C.” It got to where I would deliberately plan to 	leave things till the last night, because I knew that&#8217;s when I did 	my best work. But how much better would it have been if I&#8217;d set that 	short deadline for myself at the beginning of the month, finished 	the project in one night and been able to turn it in early and relax 	the rest of the time?</li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>For Schools:</strong></span></span></p>
<ol>
<li>I had a teacher in high school who 	would actually punish students who finished their homework early! 	(Name withheld to protect the ridiculously guilty.)<br />
In all of his classes 	(one of which, unfortunately, was study-hall), he had a rule, 	“Everyone needs to be working on something from school all the 	time.” He didn&#8217;t give a rat&#8217;s nose hairs how much we learned or 	how well we performed, only that we were busy all the time. In his 	math class, we were only allowed to work on math homework. If we 	finished all our math assignments early and started working on 	homework from another class, he would assign us extra math homework!&nbsp;</p>
<p>In study hall, we were only allowed to work on 	school work. If we finished it all early, we weren&#8217;t allowed to read 	or chat or do anything else that could be considered a reward for a 	job well done. We weren&#8217;t even allowed to take a nap. Anyone caught 	doing anything other than homework in study hall would be given more 	homework – usually copying a page from an encyclopedia or some 	other useless task! Consequently, most of us would finish our 	homework and then continue to stare blankly at the textbook with 	pencil in hand, occasionally turning a page in order to avoid being 	punished for our good productivity!</p>
<p>If there&#8217;s a 	faster way to make kids hate learning, and train them to be 	underachieving employees, I haven&#8217;t seen it, and with teachers like 	him in our schools (though they seem to be the minority – most of 	my teachers were excellent), I&#8217;m genuinely surprised that the drop 	out rate isn&#8217;t higher than it is! BTW: He was eventually fired, but 	not until he had spend 6 years destroying the minds of the students 	and training them to fear what might happen to them if they dared to 	do a good job! I did get one good thing from him – a good story to 	tell in this article. Maybe I should send him a thank-you card.<br />
Why am I telling you all 	of this? So you can learn from his mistake. You can either have your 	people (whether employees, students, or even your children) doing 	good work effectively in a way that benefits them and you – or you 	can require them to take more time than necessary on their job, 	making them bored and resentful and reducing the benefits you get 	from having them around. It&#8217;s either / or. You can&#8217;t do both! 	Remember the choice you made at the beginning of this article?</li>
<li>Design the school year like summer 	school. You may be required by the state to have a certain number of 	hours of school time each year, but that doesn&#8217;t mean you can&#8217;t make 	the most of them!In high school, I once took a 	summer course to get ahead so I could take an elective class that I 	wanted the next year. That summer class taught me several things 	(besides the subject matter) – 1) That I could finish a whole 	“year” worth of studies in six weeks and get a better grade in 	the class due to better focus and less time wasted; and 2) That the 	schedule used by most American schools is designed to be 	in-efficient!
<p>In this Summer-class, we were given 	almost no work to take home, questions were answered on each section 	until everyone in the class understood that section clearly, then we 	moved on to the next section without delay. The students felt 	fantastic about having gotten so much done each day (there aren&#8217;t 	many things that feel better than a real sense of accomplishment), 	most of them got better grades than they normally did in that class 	(myself included) and we didn&#8217;t waste valuable time with meaningless 	busywork.</p>
<p>When I was in school (K-12 that is, though 	college can also be this way for some folks), I saw Pareto&#8217;s Law at 	work in the fact that 80% of the homework assigned to me was mere 	busy work and didn&#8217;t advance my learning one iota! It did, however, 	advance my frustration and make my brain feel numb. Only 20% (less 	in some classes) of the work assigned actually accomplished 	something valuable. If you want your students to excel and do well 	when they graduate, stop boring them to death and give them only 	those homework assignments that will give them a greater 	understanding of what they&#8217;re studying. Every school should have 	this equation carved permanently into every doorpost in the 	building:<br />

	Eustress is what you feel when you're getting married, having a child, working for a promotion, riding a roller coaster, exercising intensely, or receiving a good kick in the rear from a caring friend or mentor. While distress is harmful, eustress can actually strengthen your immune system along with your character. Distress tears you down. Eustress motivates you and helps you to grow and become more than you are now.

	If the only kind of stress you feel at work is eustress, consider yourself lucky!

	If, however, you're getting a lot of distress – you'll need an antidote if you don't want to end up in the hospital (which, in turn, causes even more distress!)]]></description>

<p><span style="font-size: small;"> If, however, you&#8217;re getting a lot of distress – you&#8217;ll need an antidote if you don&#8217;t want to end up in the hospital (which, in turn, causes even more distress!)</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>The Antidote:</strong></span></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Having an escape from stress cancels out most (if not 	all) of the physiological effects of that stress. The catch is that 	this escape must be used on a regular basis. When you&#8217;re feeling the 	distress, excuse yourself, find an empty bathroom stall (most people 	will never bother you there), and take five to allow your heart rate 	to return to normal. Also, take a few very deep breaths, using your 	full lung capacity – all the way in, and ALL the way out – and 	consciously relax your muscles on the out breath. Do this for about 	20 times.</span><span style="font-size: small;">Also, leave work at work! Don&#8217;t bring it home. If at 	all possible, leave your brief case, business cell phone, uniform, 	etc. at your place of business. If you are in a line of work where 	that isn&#8217;t an option, then have a room where you can stash your 	business items until you need them tomorrow where they will be out 	of site for the evening. When you come home, really come home. A few 	minutes before you arrive at home, pull into a parking lot or park 	and breathe deeply for 5 minutes. Allow yourself to change your 	focus from work to family (or friends, or R&amp;R) <strong>before</strong> you 	walk in your front door.</span>
<p>&nbsp;</li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Use 	EFT daily – if you need to, you can even do it hourly! <li><span style="font-size: small;">Most of us keep items around our homes and offices (and 	even in our cars) that remind us of stressful or traumatic times. 	This causes harmful distress every time you see or even think about 	these items – and if you&#8217;re not aware of it at a conscious level 	it&#8217;s even worse! </span><span style="font-size: small;">I suggest you get rid of as many of these items as 	possible – sell, pawn, gift, donate, recycle, trash, or burn them 	in a safe container outside; or if it&#8217;s something you can&#8217;t get rid 	of, perhaps something that belongs to your company, then disguise 	it, redecorate it, requisition a slightly different model, or place 	something more pleasant in front of it, and if possible, do 	something to associate the item with a positive emotion – have 	your child paint it, wear it on a first date, or set a beautiful 	plant or picture on top of it – whatever seems appropriate. The 	goal here is to get yourself to feel good whenever you see the item.</span>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">This may seem a little silly to some, but you will lose 	all your doubt as soon as you feel how wonderful it feels to be free 	of that nagging stress every time you look at the thing.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Need to get something off your mind? Put it on paper! 	Journaling is something most people have heard of and very few know 	how to do effectively. For this purpose, you can use any paper from 	a leather bound journal to a spiral bound notebook, or even a spare 	piece of printer paper.</span><span style="font-size: small;">Now take your pen and just start writing – as much as 	you can about everything that&#8217;s on your mind; don&#8217;t edit, censor, or 	worry about grammar or neatness – just brain-vomit on the page! 	Yes, you&#8217;re allowed to destroy these later – which is why I 	suggest that you keep two journals, a nice one to keep and a cheap 	one to burn or shred later. You might also want to keep a to-do list 	handy to write down tasks that occur to you during this process as 	well. That way you can give yourself permission to forget about 	these because the paper you&#8217;re writing them on won&#8217;t forget and you 	can go ahead and do them when the time is right.</span>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I also suggest that you journal for a page or two each 	evening before going home, then you can either keep it or tear it up 	and put it in the recycle bin or paper shredder. This is yet another 	way that you can leave work at work, and make yourself nice and 	fresh for your arrival at home. If you want, you could even try 	typing it out in a wordpad document on your computer, then just 	deleting the file. Personally, I prefer to use a real pen and paper 	for this purpose, but to each his/her own.</span></li>
</ol>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> That&#8217;s it! You now have the power to neutralize the greatest single threat to your health, save thousands in medical costs, and flat-out enjoy your life more! Now it&#8217;s up to you. These strategies will only work for you if you use them. So go ahead and print out this article right now, and tape or tack it somewhere conspicuous on or near your desk. Have you done that? Go ahead and do it now before you do anything else. Good. Now pick one of these four strategies that you are going to start using IMMEDIATELY. I would suggest you start with one of the easy ones like the five-minute escape or journaling to give yourself an easy success right off the bat. Then the good feelings you have from having successfully completed the first step will propel you into success in the other three areas.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"> The West Nile Virus. Is there a hotter health-related topic in the news these days? Like anthrax two years ago, it has captured the attention of the entire nation. Everyone is talking about it and many people seem to be in a state of panic over it. But should we be?</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> West Nile was first discovered in the U.S. in New York in 1999 and has been spreading across the nation since then. It was discovered in Uganda in 1937. In severe cases it may produce encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> What to do about it: </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">1) Eat lots and lots of fresh, raw garlic and take plenty of Echinacea. There is no overdose on these herbs so don&#8217;t worry about taking a lot. This is good to prevent it if you&#8217;ve been exposed and to kill the infection if you have it. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">2) Remember that all disease causing organisms are scavengers and they will not eat healthy tissue, just toxic filth and waste products, so keep up on your cleansing. This is the most important step by far. </span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">3) Since it is spread by mosquitoes, garlic, citronella, rosemary, and other strong smelling herbs make terrific insect repellents. Don&#8217;t use DEET. It&#8217;s toxic. It&#8217;s even been outlawed in certain areas of South America for dissolving their tree-canopy-sidewalks!</p>
<p>Mosquitoes usually don&#8217;t bite vegetarians! I know it sounds like science fiction to some folks (mainly those who are horrified at the thought of giving up meat), but it works for me and almost all the other veges I&#8217;ve talked to. Some say that I took about a year to take effect and others say that they had to go completely vegan (no animal products at all). Mosquitoes seem to love the smell of meat (perhaps the uric acid?) At any rate, I used to get bitten hundreds of times each year, even with insect repellent, and now I haven&#8217;t had a single mosquito bite in years! </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">4) Don&#8217;t forget that the media tend to blow everything out of proportion and it will do you far more harm to panic and stay inside all the time than to get out with the mosquitoes. According to the most recent statistics I could find, only 146 people have died of West Nile virus in the last 4 years &#8212; and every one that I have read about specifically was elderly and in <span style="text-decoration: underline;">extremely</span> poor health already &#8212; making it one of the <strong>least</strong> threatening things about summer. It certainly is not the &#8220;serious public health threat&#8221; that it&#8217;s been made out to be. In fact, more people die each year from chicken pox or insect stings than from West Nile, and I don&#8217;t hear the press harping about them.</p>
<p>Now, I&#8217;m not saying we shouldn&#8217;t be careful, but if you keep your body cleansed and healthy and your immune system strong (regardless of your age), then you won&#8217;t need to worry. Remember, mosquitoes don&#8217;t cause disease, years of unhealthy living cause disease &#8211; and mosquito bourn infections are just like any other infection, taking advantage of diseased tissues and toxins to feed on. <strong>You</strong> determine what happens to your health, not some random bug bite! So be clean (inside as well as out), be healthy, don&#8217;t listen to the news, and have lots of safe fun outside this year! </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> These recommendations also apply to all the other hot-topic infections we&#8217;ve been hearing about like anthrax and SARS (Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome). </span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"> As of the writing of this article (May 2006), America is experiencing a huge shortage of influenza (flu) vaccine and millions who want the shot aren&#8217;t able to get one &#8211; whatever will we do!? </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> There are three points that I feel are important to make here: </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">1: There are many alternatives to the flu shot available worldwide, many of which are more effective than the vaccine, and practically all of which are much safer than the vaccine. </span><a href="http://chrislewismh.com/blog/colds-flu"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>See my post on Colds / Flu.</strong></span></a><span style="color: #000000;"> Yes, they are addressed exactly the same way. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">2: Flu shots (and other vaccinations) cause many harmful (and sometimes lethal) side-effects including:</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> Did you know that the flu shot can actually give you the flu!? Yes, it&#8217;s true, and for many people (myself and most of my family included) the only thing they have to do to stop getting the flu every year is to stop getting the flu shot! Individuals can experience very different effects here, and where the flu shot might seem to prevent the flu in some people, it will make others sick with remarkable consistency. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> The medical industry (the same one that makes a killing from selling you the vaccine) says that this is impossible, that the virus in the vaccine is &#8220;killed&#8221; and it can&#8217;t possibly do anything inside your body. First of all, they don&#8217;t know that because they don&#8217;t do a very good job of testing vaccines for purity so they would most likely miss any contaminant that got into it; second, the vaccine doesn&#8217;t have to contain live viruses to make you sick, it just has to contain toxic chemicals that weaken your immune system and lower your resistance so that you catch the first thing you&#8217;re exposed to &#8211; and they <strong>DO</strong> contain <strong>large</strong> amounts of such chemicals. Third, most of the symptoms you feel with a flu or any infection are not the result of the virus acting on your body; they are your immune system&#8217;s attempt to destroy the invader, and your immune system responds to viruses whether they are dead or alive.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> There is also the possibility of allergic reactions (sometimes fatal) that can happen at any time, even if you&#8217;ve had the shot in previous years without a problem. So why would you ever want subject yourself to this?! </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong> <a href="http://www.royalrife.com/flu_shots.html">Click HERE for a fascinating article on flu shots causing Alzheimer&#8217;s Disease.</a></strong></span><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">3: Even if you get a flu shot, they are notoriously ineffective at preventing the flu! The manufacturers&#8217; explanation is that there are many different strains of the flu virus and since the vaccine can only cover a few of them at most, there are still hundreds of strains floating around out there that you can catch, even if the vaccine succeeds in making you immune to those few strains (which is not as likely as one would hope). </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> In light of this information, maybe a shortage of vaccine is actually a good thing! I never get flu shots for any reason (even when there are plenty) and neither does my family, and our health has improved dramatically because of it. Why don&#8217;t you try this experiment: Don&#8217;t get any shots of any kind (for flu or anything else) this year or next and watch your health improve. If it doesn&#8217;t work the way I say it will you can always go back to getting the shots the year after that, but believe me, you won&#8217;t want to! </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> Your children don&#8217;t have to get shots either. Many people think that schools require it, but there is a simple form you can get from the school (they are legally required to give it to you if you ask) that will exempt your children from all vaccination requirements and let them attend school normally. It is especially important for children to avoid shots as they are much more vulnerable than adults to their side-effects; many thousands of children have died from vaccine reactions, even after getting other vaccines without ill effect. Your health and your children&#8217;s health are simply too precious to risk on such a ridiculous and unjustifiable practice! </span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">During the course of my investigation into the effects that microwave ovens have on health, I have come across some interesting information.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Microwaves have not been adequately studied for safety. They were developed by a researcher who was investigating technologies for communications and weapons for the military. The fact that they were able to cook food was discovered purely by accident, and they were immediately marketed to the American public, without adequate study into what their long-term health effects might be.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">One study revealed that a group of people being fed microwaved food, when compared to a control group being fed identical foods cooked in a conventional oven, had more difficult bowel movements, which were compared to the consistency of plastic.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">I have personally observed that people&#8217;s mental clarity and ability to focus and remember information improves drastically once they stop using a microwave and switch to a conventional or toaster oven. The difference is especially pronounced in the elderly.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Whether a microwave leaks radiation or not (if it is an old one it is likely to be leaking), it will always adversely affect the structure of any food placed inside it. It destroys nutrients and antioxidants and mutates the structure of proteins and fats, causing carcinogenic (cancer forming) chemicals to form. This destruction is much greater than in foods cooked in a conventional oven or toaster oven.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Also noted is decreased bio-availability of vitamin B complex, vitamin C, vitamin E, essential minerals and lipotropics factors in all food tested.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">When volunteers are subjected to Applied Kinesiology (AK) muscle testing, the tests consistently reveal that food cooked in a microwave oven becomes incompatible with and harmful to the human body, while food cooked in a conventional oven tests normal.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Water crystallization research shows that water heated in a microwave oven forms abnormally shaped microscopic crystals when frozen.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Microwave radiation is known to mutate the genetic structure of anything cooked in it, passing on mutated proteins to anyone who ingests it.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Water heated to the boiling point in a microwave in certain types of containers has produced an explosive reaction when removed from the microwave, causing several instances of severe second and third degree burns. The reason for this has to do with the surface tension of the water, variances in the shape of the container, and is not a problem for water heated on a stove top or by any other method.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">According to new research published in the November issue of the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, microwaving broccoli destroys 97% of the cancer fighting antioxidants normally present in that vegetable, a much greater loss than with any other cooking method. The smallest nutrient loss came from light steaming. The highest levels of nutrients are present in fresh raw produce.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">In 1991 an Oklahoma hospital was sued for using a microwave to warm blood before giving it to a patient in a transfusion. Norma Levitt, a hip surgery patient died of the toxic effects produced in the blood by the microwave. Blood for transfusions is routinely warmed, but not in a microwave.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Using a plastic container to warm foods in a microwave is known to cause increased leaching of chemicals called pthalates from the plastic into the food. These chemicals are known to be toxic, and harmful to the human body.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">From exploding bottles to destruction of nutrients and protective properties in milk, many are the reasons that the University of Minnesota warned parents in 1989 not to warm their babies bottles in a microwave.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Dr. Lita Lee of Hawaii reported in the December 9, 1989 Lancet:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">&#8220;Microwaving baby formulas converted certain trans-amino acids into their synthetic cis-isomers. Synthetic isomers, whether cis-amino acids or trans-fatty acids, are not biologically active.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Further, one of the amino acids, L-proline, was converted to its d-isomer, which is known to be neurotoxic (poisonous to the nervous system) and nephrotoxic (poisonous to the kidneys). It&#8217;s bad enough that many babies are not nursed, but now they are given fake milk (baby formula) made even more toxic via microwaving.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">In Comparative Study of Food Prepared Conventionally and in the Microwave Oven, published by Raum &amp; Zelt in 1992, at 3(2): 43, it states:</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Artificially produced microwaves, including those in ovens, are produced from alternating current and force a billion or more polarity reversals per second in every food molecule they hit.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Production of unnatural molecules is inevitable. Naturally occurring amino acids have been observed to undergo isomeric changes (changes in shape morphing) as well as transformation into toxic forms, under the impact of microwaves produced in ovens.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">One short-term study found significant and disturbing changes in the blood of individuals consuming microwaved milk and vegetables. Eight volunteers ate various combinations of the same foods cooked different ways.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">All foods that were processed through the microwave ovens caused changes in the blood of the volunteers. Hemoglobin levels decreased and over all white cell levels and cholesterol levels increased. Lymphocytes decreased.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Luminescent (light-emitting) bacteria were employed to detect energetic changes in the blood. Significant increases were found in the luminescence of these bacteria when exposed to blood serum obtained after the consumption of microwaved food.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">An article also appeared in the 19th issue of the Journal <em>Franz Weber </em>which stated that the consumption of food cooked in microwave ovens had cancerous effects on the blood.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">Russian research has revealed that exposure to microwave radiation causes: headache, dizziness, eye pain, sleeplessness, irritability, anxiety, stomach pain, nervous tension, inability to concentrate, hair loss, plus an increased incidence of appendicitis, cataracts, reproductive problems, and cancer. The chronic symptoms are eventually succeeded by crisis of adrenal exhaustion and ischemic heart disease [the blockage of coronary arteries and heart attacks].&#8221;</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"> Hospitals and clinics closing&#8230; Doctors cutting back on high risk cases&#8230; Doctors going out of business&#8230; Small towns left without a single physician due to 9/11 policy complications&#8230; such was the news from all over the US as of May 2006!</span><span style="color: #000000;"> This news makes many people feel uneasy. The  prospect of not being able to see their doctor is frightening, but  should it be?</span><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">And what about the recent passing of President Obama&#8217;s health care package that threatens senior&#8217;s access to &#8220;health care&#8221; and mandates a lot of practices that most of us object to? Should we really be turning to the federal government for health care reform?</p>
<p>Do we really need medical &#8220;care&#8221; for everything in life? Let&#8217;s look at the facts, shall we&#8230; </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">*Approximately 2.4 million operations performed each year are unnecessary and cost about 12,000 lives.</p>
<p>*In six New York Hospitals, 43% of performed hysterectomies reviewed were found to be unjustified.</p>
<p>*Historically, when doctors have gone on strike, the mortality rate for that hospital has dropped!</p>
<p>*Home births have been found to be far safer than hospital births with a lower mortality rate for both mother and child, less occurrence of infections and other complications, faster labor, much lower c-section rates, less occurrence of fetal trauma, etc.</p>
<p>*Many people lose every penny they have and more in the futile attempt to pay off medical bills after their insurance company drops them. Many of them even lose their homes! Did you know that Modern Medicine is the leading cause of bankruptcy for American families?</p>
<p>*A recent survey by the World Health Organization shows that, while the United States spends more per capita than any other nation on &#8220;health care,&#8221; it ranks as number 37 for quality and effectiveness. Even Singapore, Omen, and Andorra are healthier than the US!</p>
<p>*Since President Kennedy declared war on cancer, promising to see it eliminated within the decade, the cancer rate has gone from one in every five people to one in every two, that&#8217;s half of the entire population getting cancer some time in their lives. The cancer death rate has also markedly increased.<br />
</span></p>
<p>*I recently saw a front page headline declaring that the breast cancer rate has dropped for the first time in recorded history! What do we have to thank for this miraculous decrease. Fund-raising efforts? More medical research? New chemotherapy drugs? Nope! The experts quoted in the article said the drop is due to the fact that &#8220;more women are <span style="text-decoration: underline;">refusing</span> hormone replacement therapy for menopause symptoms.&#8221;</p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">*Only 5% of the budget for the National Cancer Institute is spent on prevention. Guess where the rest of it goes!</p>
<p>*Vaccines cause about 12,000 reports of adverse reactions and hundreds of deaths yearly, most of them children; and most of these vaccines have yet to be proven to prevent any disease at all! Among adverse reactions are: genetic mutations, cancer, AIDS, Developmental disabilities, immune system disorders, hepatitis, post-vaccinal encephalitis, autism, ADD/ADHD, SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome also called &#8220;crib death&#8221;), infection by the very disease they were intended to prevent, increased susceptibility to drug abuse and violent crime later in life (perhaps because of the damage they do to the nervous system?)&#8230;</p>
<p>*According to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) prescription drugs kill about 144,000 Americans every year and injure millions more.</p>
<p>*20-30% of Americans receive contra-indicated treatments (those that are known to be harmful or fatal in their particular condition).</p>
<p>*7,000 die each year from medication <strong>errors</strong> (read: &#8220;oops!&#8221;) in hospitals.</p>
<p>*80,000 die each year from nosocomial infections (infections caught while in the hospital).</p>
<p>*Medical mistakes in general </span><span style="color: #000000;">(&#8220;oops!&#8221;)</span><span style="color: #000000;"> kill about 98,000 people a year (in America). That&#8217;s more than motor vehicle accidents, breast cancer, or AIDS!!</p>
<p>*Dr. Barbara Starfield, in the July 26, 2000 issue of JAMA, states, &#8220;An estimate of adverse effects in outpatient care and including adverse effects other than death concluded that between 4 and 18 percent of consecutive patients experience adverse effects in outpatient settings, resulting in 116 million extra physician visits, 77 million extra prescriptions, 17 million emergency department visits, 8 million hospitalizations, 3 million long term admissions, 199,000 additional deaths, and $77 billion in extra costs.&#8221;</p>
<p>*Total deaths from modern medicine in general are estimated to be between 700,000 and 1,000,000+ annually (just in the USA), putting &#8220;modern medicine&#8221; above heart disease as the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">number one leading cause of death in the United States</span>!</p>
<p>*<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Modern Medicine</span> kills more Americans every year than did the American Revolution, The American Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, The Vietnam War, and Desert Storm <strong>combined</strong>! According to some estimates, it has killed more people in the past 20 years than all wars throughout all recorded history combined! Maybe we should spend a bit less energy fighting &#8220;war&#8221; and a bit more fighting modern medicine!</p>
<p>*Every hospital is run, not by doctors, but by business administrators (just like every other business) who probably know even less about health than their secretaries! In other words, decisions about your medical &#8220;care&#8221; are far more likely to reflect the financial needs of the hospital than your needs as an individual, and even if your doctor is the nicest, most honest, caring, sincere individual in the world, there is very little he can do if his opinion differs from that of the administrator, who has no medical background whatsoever.</p>
<p>*The most accurate medical laboratories in the nation are only 80% accurate. That means that of every 100 diagnoses they make, 20 of them are wrong! And most labs aren&#8217;t that accurate. They range from 50-70% accurate. And some are even less accurate than that, at an astonishing 30%, in other words, you world have more accurate test results by flipping a coin. And most doctors rely on these tests almost exclusively in making their diagnoses. They tend to trust the lab tests even more than their own eyes! This leads to many false negatives and false positives.</p>
<p>*Doctors are NEVER taught anything about ANY form of alternative therapy in medical school! So asking your doctor about taking an herbal product or changing your diet, or doing anything natural at all is just like asking your plumber to elaborate on the finer points of general relativity or quantum mechanics, there&#8217;s a small chance he may have studied it on his own time because of personal interest, but he has received absolutely NO formal training in it whatsoever. So please don&#8217;t do something as foolish and silly as asking your doctor about a natural therapy! Instead see an herbalist, midwife, chiropractor, naturopath, massage therapist or someone else who actually knows something about natural healing.</p>
<p>*Medicine NEVER addresses the root cause of illness, striving instead to merely control symptoms, and in the process, allowing the cause of the disease to continue progressing and getting worse until it manifests as a much more serious condition.</p>
<p>*And most importantly of all, mankind got along just fine without &#8220;Modern Medicine&#8221; for thousands of years, so why do we now need to ask their permission for everything from diets and exercise programs (which they know almost nothing about, by the way &#8211; why do you think people have heart attacks while their doctor is giving them a &#8220;stress test&#8221; to see if they&#8217;re fit enough to exercise!?), to traveling, riding amusement park rides, having children, and even getting married?! </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"> It sounds to me like we have a chronic excess of medical &#8220;care,&#8221; not a shortage of it. And in light of all these facts, doesn&#8217;t it seem pretty silly to be so dependent on our doctors. Now, I&#8217;m not saying that they don&#8217;t have their place, they certainly do, in emergency trauma where immediate intervention is needed to save a life. That is where they shine. But they have forgotten their proper place in healing. </span><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: small;">Proverbs 27:8 says, &#8220;As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so [is] a man that wandereth from his place.&#8221; Medicine is like a fire which, if kept under control, can provide life-saving warmth in emergencies, but if it gets out of control, it kills, destroys, and causes immeasurable suffering.</p>
<p></span></span><span style="color: #000000;">Doctors are trained to deal with emergencies, but not to recognize people who aren&#8217;t having emergencies. So when you go to a doctor, they will see you as an emergency whether you are one or not! This leads to a lot of unnecessary testing, treatment, side-effects, and death.</p>
<p>Why put ourselves through this needless torture, especially when there are safer, more effective, less painful, faster, and less expensive (or even free) alternatives available to us in the form of natural healing methods? Here&#8217;s a challenge for all my readers&#8230; Find out about natural healing so you can take care of yourself and your family and your friends, and not have to be dependent on doctors, because they won&#8217;t always be there when you need them, and besides, you can do a much better job of caring for yourself than they can. </strong></span>In <em>The Silver Chair</em> by C. S. Lewis, one of the characters says to his comrades, in warning, &#8220;If I suddenly [fall over dead]&#8230; after drinking this, you&#8217;ll know not to accept anything these people offer.&#8221; (edit mine) But what if that actually happened and one of his friends immediately drank from the same cup that killed him? You&#8217;d probably say this person was either insane or suicidal. But this same thing is happening all over the United States right now. People are embracing a fad diet that has killed many many people, including (probably) its own author. And this isn&#8217;t the only diet of this type. There are many other diets on the market now teaching similar ideas. These low carbohydrate/high protein diets encourage their followers to eat large amounts of meat, dairy products, and artificial sweeteners and little or no grains, fruits, and starchy vegetables in order to lose weight. And they do work for many people. The problem is, that even though you may lose weight on these diets, <strong>they can also kill you!<br />
</strong>So called &#8220;high protein&#8221; diets are really nothing more than a new spin on the high cholesterol/saturated fat/mucus forming and low nutrition diets that have been the leading cause of death in America (except for the medical industry itself) for many decades now! It has been known for some time that high protein diets are a leading cause of <strong>osteoporosis</strong>, <strong>kidney stones</strong>, <strong>heart disease</strong> and <strong>heart failure</strong>, <strong>gout</strong> (a type of arthritis), <strong>low energy</strong>, <strong>halitosis</strong> (bad breath), <strong>diabetes</strong>, <strong>chronic constipation</strong>, <strong>breast and colon cancers</strong>, and many other of our most common ills. They stop up your digestive system, fill your body with uric acid, line your arteries with plaque, fill your liver, prostate, gall bladder, and other important organs with thick toxic sludge, leech calcium out of your bones, and leave you severely dehydrated (this is one of the ways they help you loose weight, but it&#8217;s weight in water, not fat).<br />
These diets can also make your body panic (because it&#8217;s not getting the carbs it needs), so that every gram of carbohydrates your body sees, it then stores because it thinks you&#8217;re in some kind of famine and have a severe shortage of the right foods. In other words, high protein diets completely mess up your metabolism so that when you go off of the diet (which you will have to eventually, if you want to live) you gain the extra weight right back! So you got thin, but it didn&#8217;t last, and you&#8217;ve taken a couple decades (or more) off of your life by damaging your heart, liver, and other vital organs&#8230; doesn&#8217;t sound worth it, does it?<br />
Carbohydrates are your body&#8217;s main energy source; they are the easiest of the three energy sources (protein, fats, and carbohydrates) for your body to use, and <strong>you cannot live without sufficient carbohydrates</strong>. That said, the problem is not with the carbs themselves, but rather with refined, processed, dead, nutritionless carbs from sources like white (or brown) refined sugar, white flour (in many breads, pastas, etc.), highly cooked/fried potatoes without the skin (most of the nutrition in potatoes is in the skin), etc. These &#8220;empty&#8221; carbs provide only large amounts of calories with little to no nutrition and cause many health problems, including obesity, cancer, osteoporosis, and diabetes. It is a good idea for everyone to avoid carbs from these sources, whether or not you are trying to lose weight.<br />
So if these are the bad carbs, what are the good carbs? What is actually GOOD for health <strong>and</strong> losing weight? In short, whole live unrefined foods. All raw fruits and vegetables, whole low-heated or sprouted grains, seeds, nuts, legumes and nutritional herbs. Yes these all contain carbs and yes, they all contain calories, but these calories come packed with so much nutrition, that you won&#8217;t find yourself craving more and more calories in order to fill the nutritional void, as happens when you consume empty calories. Your body is also far better able to utilize the carbs from these foods, and they don&#8217;t cause the sudden elevations in blood sugar levels that refined carbs do. So instead of destroying your body on one of those &#8220;high-protein&#8221; diets, why not just use the common sense that every one of us has, eat real foods, and avoid fake and processed &#8220;foods,&#8221; and you&#8217;ll be much healthier, happier, and yes, thinner, without the terrible side-effects of these dangerous fad diets.</span></p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">Diet</span></span></span></strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"> &#8212; The diet that Dean Ornish found successful in his study was basically a vegan diet, meaning absolutely no animal products, except that Dr. Ornish allowed his study participants to have one spoonful of cream per day. This was the only cholesterol, they were allowed. It is also important to avoid all sources of refined sugar as this tricks the liver into producing more cholesterol than you need. The only dietary sources of cholesterol, other than sugar, come from animals, so sticking to a plant-based diet will help to remove both the serum cholesterol, and the plaque that has built up on the arteries.</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">Exercise</span></span></span></strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"> &#8212; This can be any kind of exercise. Start with what you are accustomed to and work up gradually in intensity and frequency. It doesn&#8217;t have to be anything intense at first. If all you can do now is walk between the living room and the kitchen, then by all means do so, several times a day. Then do an additional time every day until you feel up to walking around the block. And then around two blocks, three blocks, four blocks, etc. until you&#8217;re walking several miles a day. If you are confined to a wheelchair or even a bed, you can always move your arms and legs around until you get tired. If you are paralyzed from the neck down, do neck exercises &#8212; stretch and roll your neck around until you get tired, then rest. Everyone can do some form of body movement, every day. Don&#8217;t use anything as an excuse, as long as you are able to move at all. If you have arthritis and it is painful for you to move, move anyway &#8212; numerous medical studies show that the more you move, the less it hurts, and the less you move, the more it hurts. Regular exercise has been proven to slow down the progression of arthritis. So don&#8217;t let pain or stiffness be an excuse to not move. Of course, if you feel an abnormal pain that is not due to arthritis, it may be your body telling you that you&#8217;re causing damage, so stop and try a different exercise or consult someone trained in exercise, like a massage therapist, personal trainer, exercise physiologist, etc. (not a medical doctor, as they are not trained in this area). I once saw a man with no legs who had earned a black belt in karate. There are no excuses. If you find high-intensity exercises to be too much for you, then start with something easy like yoga, tai chi, or qi gong. The public library has all sorts of tapes and DVDs for beginners to these techniques as well as some seated aerobics routines for people who can&#8217;t stand up. Of course, if you are already a marathon runner, then by all means run more marathons. If you are already a bodybuilder, keep on building. If you&#8217;ve already got three black belts, go for a fourth. Start where you&#8217;re at and work up gradually from there. I have seen people drop their cholesterol levels anywhere from 30 to 60 points in a couple of weeks simply by exercising several times a week for half an hour.</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">Relaxation Therapy/Emotional Healing </span></span></span></strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">&#8211; When Dr. Ornish was doing his study with heart patients, he noticed that a few patients didn&#8217;t get the results that the others were getting &#8212; their heart disease wasn&#8217;t being reversed like the others. He knew that they must be ignoring some part of the program. He initially thought that they weren&#8217;t adhering to the diet, but when he checked, they were following it faithfully. Then he thought it must be the exercise portion of the program that they were skipping, so he checked, but they were all exercising faithfully as recommended. He was rather surprised to find that the part of the program they were skipping was the relaxation portion. They weren&#8217;t taking time each day to de-stress. This is an absolutely vital part of the heart-disease-reversing program. By relaxation, of course, I do not mean sitting in front of the television or reading a book, although there is certainly a time and place for those things. The relaxation needed for this program is a deep relaxation that you get from deep breathing, meditation, progressive relaxation exercises, lying on a tropical beach, or sitting in your favorite garden. It is important that you allow your entire body to relax, every muscle, every organ, every thought. It helps to be lying down or reclining in a comfortable position while doing these. Do these relaxation exercises for at least 20 to 30 minutes every day.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">It also helps to do a little soul-searching &#8212; forgive yourself and learn to forgive others. The emotion of fear can contribute to heart disease and even cause heart attacks, so it is important to eliminate fear from your life. You may not be able to eliminate the fearful thing, but you can change how you respond to it. I suggest first realizing that whatever it is, even if the worst-case scenario happens, it probably isn&#8217;t all that bad; and even if it is, the fear you feel towards it is only poisoning you. Facing situations, things, and people with a sense of courage not only helps your reputation, it can also save your life. Also, the emotional freedom technique (&#8220;E.F.T.&#8221;) is useful for overcoming fears. Try an Internet search to learn more about it or contact me.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">I also highly recommend what I call &#8220;trashing therapy.&#8221; This is where you go through your house, and any other property you may own, and throw out, sell, bury, blow up, give away, or otherwise get rid of any object that has a negative emotional association for you, that reminds you of a bad memory or a traumatic time, or that in any way makes you feel less than terrific when you look at it or think. Sometimes there&#8217;s a strong emotional attachment to these items and overcoming that attachment by getting rid of the item produces a powerful emotional healing that allows you to move forward in your life and has actually cured chronic illnesses in as little as a few hours (in cases where negative emotions were the primary cause of the illness to begin with).</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">I also highly recommend journaling therapy. This is not the &#8220;Dear diary&#8221; that most people think of when they hear the word &#8220;journal.&#8221; this is a feelings journal, where you daydream on paper and explore every thought and feeling you have about everything in your life, one at a time. This process creates great emotional cleansings, helps you figure things out in your life, and gives you a profound sense of relief once you have written out every aspect of your feelings about a situation. The technique is simple &#8212; on the paper = off your mind. Anything that&#8217;s on your mind that you don&#8217;t want there, you can get rid of by exploring every aspect of the thought on paper. Just keep writing about that topic until you feel like there&#8217;s nothing more that can possibly be written about it, focusing on your perception and thoughts about it rather than on simply chronicling events. You will eventually reach a point where you feel a lightness and relief as though a burden has been lifted from you. When you feel this, you can stop writing, take a deep breath and enjoy the feeling of renewal. After this, if you feel you need to, you can repeat the process with another thought, or you can just put your journal away and come back to it another day. Use your journal to explore every example of fear and anger in your life. Let it out on paper, just as you would if you were talking to someone. Get it out of your system and feel the improvement in your heart. Vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, etc. are the bricks and mortar from which your body builds new tissues, hormones, blood, immune cells and everything else it needs to function. This combines with the plaque from cholesterol, and causes hardening of the arteries (arteriosclerosis). Switching to distilled water as your regular drinking water will go a long way toward removing these calcium deposits in your arteries, thus helping to remove the plaque and allowing your blood vessels to become more flexible and allowing blood to reach their tissues so they are better nourished and stronger.</span></span></span></p>

Taking a few spoonfuls everyday can also help you lose weight, which helps take the burden off of your heart. I recommend taking a tablespoonful of apple cider vinegar in a glass of distilled water everyday. You can increase this to several times a day. When you use the vinegar with the distilled water, you get double the benefit. These two things will also help increase your flexibility, get rid of bone spurs, kidney stones, osteo-arthritis, cataracts and other complaints.</span></span></span></p>

It can also be used to help revive a person who&#8217;s having a heart attack or stroke by giving a large dose of it internally. A large dose means 12 to 15 dropperfuls of a strong tincture or a heaping tablespoon of the powder stirred in a glass of warm water. A great way to take Cayenne everyday is to get the hottest organic salsa you can tolerate and have some at every meal. <p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">An Important Note about Cholesterol Tests </span></span></span></strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">&#8211; After reading this paragraph, you will know more about cholesterol than your doctor does. It used to be thought that heart disease risk could be determined simply by looking at a person&#8217;s total cholesterol levels. Then it was discovered that there were two kinds of cholesterol &#8212; good and bad. The HDL (high-density lipoproteins) are beneficial, while the LDL (low-density lipoproteins) are harmful. HDL helps to remove the LDL from the body. So the higher your HDL levels are in the lower your LDL levels are the better off you are. Then another discovery was made the discovery that total cholesterol levels do not necessarily predict heart disease risk. Scientists discovered that people with low cholesterol levels sometimes have heart attacks and people with very high cholesterol levels sometimes never have any sign of heart trouble. The reason for this anomaly, is that blood tests for cholesterol levels only test the amount of cholesterol that is dissolved in a liquid form in your blood (called &#8220;serum cholesterol levels&#8221;). They don&#8217;t look at how much cholesterol has solidified in the form of plaque on your artery walls. This plaque is the real threat to your heart health. While high serum levels of cholesterol can make your heart work harder because it is pumping thicker blood, and therefore place greater stress on your heart, it is the plaque buildup in your arteries that can actually kill you quickly. When you start a program like the Ornish program. I highly recommend that you not, repeat NOT go to the doctor for a cholesterol test. The reason for this is because this program removes the plaque from your arteries, and when the plaque melts off of your arteries, where do you think is &#8212; in your blood of course. So even though your arteries are opening a top, and your circulation is improving, and your heart disease beginning to reverse itself, your doctor will see the your serum cholesterol levels are rising and will recommend that you discontinue the program, because he doesn&#8217;t understand that the rise in blood cholesterol is because the plaque is coming off of your arteries. The cholesterol is actually going not coming. And when you start to clean out your arteries your serum cholesterol level will go very high as all that cholesterol is being eliminated from your body. After it has been eliminated, of course, your cholesterol level will go down quickly until it reaches the normal level of between 90 and 130 (some people may vary slightly from these numbers, but everyone should be in this neighborhood). After you have completed the program, and your heart artery blockage is gone, then it will be safe to have a cholesterol test (even though you won&#8217;t </span></span></span><em><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">need</span></span></span></em><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"> one).</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">An Important Note about Heart Drugs </span></span></span></strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">&#8211; The human body can develop a dependence on prescription drugs, particularly those given to people with heart disease, like those that lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, thin the blood, etc. please listen carefully, because this is extremely important &#8212; if you are on any of these drugs do not, I repeat DO NOT stop taking them cold turkey. Sudden and complete withdrawal from these drugs can be fatal. It is important to wean off of these drugs slowly and gradually over a period of about three to four months. This gives your body a chance to adjust to not having the drugs in your system. This is especially important with drugs that lower blood pressure. A good idea would be to start the above program immediately and begin shaving a little bit off of each pill before you take it each week you can shave off a little more and a little more from each pill. After several weeks, you should be shaving off a quarter of each pill. After a couple months you should be taking half pills. After three to four months, you should be taking only a tiny bit of each pill. After this, you can stop taking them completely. Many people prefer to have a doctor&#8217;s help in weaning off of these drugs, which is fine. Your medical doctor may or may not be sympathetic to your desires to get off of these drugs and use a more natural approach. If he is, great! He can help you wean off of the drugs. If not, I suggest that you grab a phone book and look under &#8220;naturopathic doctors&#8221; or ask your local health food store for a referral to a local naturopathic doctor. These doctors have a much more natural leaning in their approach and have had training in some natural therapies. They will be more likely to want to help you wean off of the drugs.</span></span></span></p>
